Velocity, thanks for the hint
Doing some research, there is a difference how Hobbywing V4 sends signal than they did befor with v3 and others ESC do.
Has to do with Open Collector output as required by usual FBL, but V4 sources with high impedance output, which sometimes workes and sometimes not, due to different Voltage levels.
Have you tried to change BEC Voltage level? This might help...

Vortex Beast VStabi all got challenges with HW V4.
http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=727317
Solution:
1) use external phase sensor
2) If you got right skills, use impedance changer, like a NPN transistor to rebuild open Collector, but I strongly suggest to use at least a 1k Series Resistor in front of Basis Pin.
RPM Signal to Resistor 10k and this to Transistor Base PIN / Emitter PIN to Ground / Collector PIN to FBL Phase PIN

If I had a HW V4 at hand I would test the NPN Transistor, maybe someone can test it.
Maybe Tomas can comment......

Sorry. Im using an external phase sensor by HW and also have the same issue.

Hi adrian. The filter didnt make any change. I still have a log full of rpm sennsor data too dirty. The motor is 4100kv. Does that matter?

Hi Mattbeau
Seams to be a hard one.....hope you still got the energy to look into it.
It's the goal to find the cause of noise by drilling down to the problem.
I'm a bit lost with different setups, could you pls. share what it looks like and comment?
1. what Receiver Typ are you using?
2. ESC: YEP or HW?
3. Phase Sensor Typ?
4. How is Motor Phase Sensor plugged into Spirit, Signal into(PIT) Plus+GND (RUD for Servo Voltage or SAT for 3.3V)?
5. Have you checked your Setup for Ground Loop, GND should be a Star with FBL in Center?
6. With no Load (Blades OFF) it works as you saying, what if you put manual (hand) Load on Servos can you somehow force the noise.
7. Have you tried different ESC.
8. Have you tried increase RPM Sensor Filter up to 8
9. what Receiver Typ

Im using
Ar7700
Yep 40 gov off and freewheeling off
Hw phase sensor
Signal to pit
Powered from the ar7700
I dont understand 5
I can run the servos unloaded and no noise
I havent tried loading the servos loaded with out the blades
I had tried the hw 50 a v3 with the builtin rpm sensor.
I did go all tge way to 8

Could you try to power phase sensor direct from FBL?
Point 5. Power from BEC should only go to FBL and from there to the rest. So FBL as your control brain is the center for power as well. If you plug power from BEC to FBL and BEC to RX and from RX to FBL, you got a GND triangle and not a GND Star topology which is bad from a noise point of view, wors if your motor anb battery sit in between.
What we got in your setup now, rpm signal generated with AR Ground but used with FBL Ground, might cause a problem, as these grounds shift under load torwards each other.

So should i use a Y connector to power the HW phase sensor. I ran oit of ports, thats why i powered it that way. On aux?
Im using standard spirit

Hello,
we can try to change the firmware little bit and see if it will improve the readout.
For sure the output from this particular ESCis different, but our units can change input pin type. So this could help you.

Do you have this ESC for testing? If not I can send you oscilloscope screenshot of RPM signal

No, we have only V3 for testing. Everything was perfect there.
