Maybe crasy idea:
Mount a second Spirit onto the Gaui X5 with Bluetooth connected to that.
This way you may be able to do a vibration-analysis in flight.

Edit:
With second Spirit I really mean second Unit not connected to any servo.
Never leave BT running on the FBL-Unit which controls your heli during flight.
Caution: BT might knock out your receiver, so do range test before flying.

Vibration analysis in the flight with bluetooth module is not recommended at all, because most probably you will destroy your helicopter.
Check warning before vibration analysis in the mobile app.

If there is no report about too high vibrations in the log, then there shouldn't be a problem with vibrations.

G'day John,

After all we have tried, I had a thought.
Maybe the X5 is fine, it's perhaps the servos that are the problem (speed, whatever?)
What servos are you using? I have just the standard Gaui GS-501 cyclic servos, is that what you are using?
I dont have others to try so I thought I would ask before outlaying money.

Regards,
Guy

let me look... (glances down at his feet and picks up the X5)

GS-503 and 504 for tail.

I have actually reached a point where I've reduced wobble enough to fly it. 4 flights on it now. At the same time as reducing the head gain to 50% I also switched Spirit units. The flights we're then OK. I won't say perfect, my Goblin flies better but I think at least I'm at the tuning stage now.

So before I tune, I'm going to put the original Spirit unit back in there in order that I can eliminate that as the cause of the wobbles. I have seen extremely slight wobbles on the current setup - so I doubt very much that the Spirit units are materially different. I also hope that is not the case because I want to put the Spirit onto my X7 as well :-)

If all goes well, and there is a break in the rain today I will go and test the latest setup and report back here.

Well regarding servos, while looking around at alternate ones I came across something interesting. Although the Gaui servos are good for 400Hz I found that using them with the Beast X there was a recommended Hz of 165! So I reduced mine to 150 from 200 and it made quite a difference, I was able to up my cyclic gain without the wobbles. I have more testing to go and once I get it right I'll post the new setup. Have you tried this yourself?

Do you run a internal governor from the ESC?

I agree with above.
Definitely try lowering frequency on you cyclic servos.
Try 200Hz.
