Im setting up my head and tail servos on the goblin 380 and used the subtrim to get them centered to the case. I've read through the manual and couldn't see if there was a certain amount of subtrim that shouldn't be exceeded. I realize you should use as little as possible but what's the suggested limit?

You can use full range of the subtrim. Only important is, that your servo arms will be centered precisely with respect to the servo case.
Push rod length adjustment should be used to make the swashplate perfectly level (with the Cyclic Leveler tool). When the cyclic is level, you have to adjust two push rods of the blade holders to achieve 0° between two blades.
Then it will be complete and precise.

Awesome. This unit is going on a G380 so I cant adjust the servo to swash links to level out the swash, I assume the only way to level it would be w subtrim through the software.

Another quick question. When setting up your tx, do you use subtrim and endpoints to adjust the throttle channel? Ill be using the hobbywing 100a v3 so it would need to be able to see what the spirit sees as full range correct?

Yes, in this case it is correct.

What receiver type you are using?
If the ESC is connected directly to the receiver, you do not have to change anything.
If it is connected to the unit, then it could be necessary to recalibrate the ESC or you can use Throttle Range - Min. and Max. parameter to match the range.
Use of subtrim is not necessary because Min. parameter is working in the very same way.

I will be using two dsmx sats.

So if someone was to use the full 120 (I believe) of trim on all three swash servos it wouldnt be any different than someone using saw less than 40?

Yes, you are right. There is no difference, if the servos are configured correctly -- 90° arms.
