To ZeXx86. I have tried to update 2 new SPIRIT units with FW-1.3.2.4df using MAC laptop. Both unit had firmware 2.1 at start. The update started as normal but, progression stop at about 5-10% on both. After waiting for 5 minutes to complete, I had to stop the update. Now both units fail to power-up. The LED on both units never lite when power is applied. No life at all... I have upgraded units before on this computer using 2.1 with no issues. HELP :(

That is very sad.
Unfortunately this can happen, if there is not correct driver in the operating system.
In case of OSX you have to install recommended driver in the manual, else it will not work.

Very often after system update driver is rewritten, so it is reason why it failed.

Fortunately it can be fixed. I will send you a guide in a private message.

To ZeXx86 Thanks for your prompt response. I tried 5 times on each unit per your instructions provided. The 1.2.0 software fails update with the 1.2.1.bin firmware loaded. I have another older unit with 1.2 firmware installed and it connects to the software fine. I did not update that unit for fear it crash another unit. It appears the boot loader is not working. I verified the jumper on the PCB is correct when power is applied. LED off and started load but, will not connect. Is there anything else I can do?

The procedure will surely work, but it can take you little bit of time if you are doing it for the first time.

Did you reinstalled the driver? This is necessary to make it work else it will always fail with all your units.
What power supply do you use when trying this?

It is very important so that both pins are connected together. Also before connecting the power, software must be started else it will not work too.
Software must be started in the way that you select No when asking for Demo mode. Then select firmware, then connect the power and then click the flash button. Then you should see a progress.

With OSX there are compatibility issues between versions with each new update. But manufacturers of the chip will surely solve it.
But this is different issue.

I'm using OS 10.11.2 software that may be the problem. I've tried many times again to reload firmware into these 2 units with no success. I'll see if I can locate a PC....
