What transmitter /receiver, have you assigned thr to ch1? (off by default) its in the channel maping next to your receiver type.

Hi,
you have probably leaved your default Gyro Gain settings in your transmitter and it is set to 0%.
Probably you have also configured Function as Rescue, so your rescue is activated all the time.
You have to set positive gyro gain and then it will be fine.

Hi,should I have power from ESC plugged into throttle on receiver or into aux on the unit?
pwm wiring.

You are using a build in bec? Manual states to use 2 lines from the receiver to aux and rud to supply power. Esc goes in the receiver.
You could also put the power pins in an other connector and connect to rud or aux and place a connection between the other free port (aux or rud which ever you didn't use) and the receiver, Any free port.
