FYI: unexpected rescue activation

I use a Spektrum DX6 to activate rescue via bank switching: Bank 0 for normal flight w. positive rudder gain, Bank 2 for rescue w. negative rudder gain.

At the field, w. Throttle Cut active, I used a smartphone to change a Bank 2 parameter, saved it, and disconnected the WiFi module w/o powering down. I prepared for takeoff, switched off TC and an ESC-governed soft start began, followed by a rapid rpm increase and an accelerated, uncontrolled, climb out.

It appears that Bank 2/Rescue was active even though the gear channel value was negative.

If the gear channel value is negative this activates rescue. Not sure what was unexpected as this is by design?

The Gear (#5) channel is used to send the value of a bank selection parameter: -100% for Bank 0, 0% for Bank 1 and 100% for Bank 2.

If you have not clicked to Disconnect button in the App, it will still behave as when you are doing configuration.
Thus selected bank in the App will be active all the time.

If you only disconnect from the wifi, it is not enough unfortunately.

I'm using WiFi-Link 2.0.2 System Settings & haven't been able to locate the Disconnect option. There is a Close the Spirit Settings button on the Connection page - would that work?

Yes, this is the right button - "Close the Spirit Settings".

Until you will press it, it will be still active (same as when you are flying with running PC software).

I would suggest use of LED for Indication on FBL, as this happened to me as well with BT Module using banks to test different settings.

permanent ON = Operation Bank 0
with 1 short OFF seq. = Operation Bank 1
with 2 short OFF seq. = Operation Bank 2
fast flashing = Konfig Mode (PC / Wifi / BT )
