Hi, new here (been reading for some time though), I have 2 Spirit (not pro) units I'm trying to update to V2.2.0, both are currently on v2.0.0, I downloaded the settings V2.2 program, & the firmware program, I installed the settings program, hook my units to the computer & open the settings program, unit is recognized, current firmware V2.0 is listed & info box pops up saying firmware doesn't match, upgrade to firmware V2.2.0, I clik on update tab, but when I clik select & go to where the downloaded 2.2.0 firmware is located it doesn't show up, in the box it seems to be looking for a *.4df file (can't change this) & the firmware file is a .man file (I thought this should be .bin?, although the program apparently is looking for the 4df file!), I tried renaming the firmware file to bin & *.4df but it stays as a .man file. Been at this for quite a few hours at this point & am hoping someone can explain what I have to do, or what I'm doing wrong LOL!
TIA
Disregard, found the problem, it was a browser problem, I'm using Windows 10, MS Edge, also tried the download in IE Explorer, both downloaded the file from Spirits site as a .man file, I tried Google Chrome & the same download came out as a .4df file!
Problem w/Spirit firmware upgrade
Hi,
thank you for the message!
With Edge and Explorer there is unfortunately such problem. With everything else it should work well.
