Hi have recently installed spirit mini on mini titan v1 converted to flybarless it is fling extremely well apart from fairly bad elevator wobble I can't get rid of .Head gain is set at 40% and elevator filter is low.blades are sab 325 flybar red devil's .if any one knows of any settings that might help tune wobble out your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks brendan.

Hi,

you have to increase Elevator Filter to at least 2.
Cyclic Gain can be usually around 60%.

What servos you are using?

Is the wobble visible all the time or only during agressive elevator maneuvers?

hi servos are savox sh 0257 cyclic gain 40 percent cyclic rotation 10 elevator filter 0 cyclic feed forward 4 elevar pitch up 1 .Also linkage balls are furthest out on servo horns need to be for elevator rear servo linkage to line up straight with swash.Wobble is visible even during hover but more noticable during rolls and flips.

Thank you very much for the info.

If the wobble is visible during hovering, then the problem could be in:
- unit is not mounted hard enough
- there is a big play in the mechanics
- main shaft is bent
- rotor blades are not tracking too well

Increasing Elevator Filter should definitively help with bounce-back during faster stick inputs.
But when it is visible in the hovering, then unfortunately no setting of the unit will help you - it can be only slightly reduced. This is usually mechanical problem (one of mentioned above).
NOTE: these servos are not too suitable for FBL units (so the performance is not good) but it will still work - it depends on what is your requirement.

Hi thanks for your help.1 thing I forgot to mention is the flybarless head conversion is a a diy job using original flybar head but had to use very long links from blade grips to swash will maybe try changing sevos as well. Will keep you informed of progress.

Ah, thank you.

Did you configured Geometry 6° with this head?
What value you have obtained?

Hi.

This mean, that the head geometry is not too good - small resolution.

To make it better, you have to put the balls on the servo arms closer to the center (if possible).

Hi first a big thank you Tomas for your great help and customer service.
Following your advice on moving linkage balls on servo arms in a hole was not able to do this on the savox servos so i swapped these out for hitech 65mg servos i had in another heli i was able to move in a hole with these.when installed i redone setup which allowed me to get geometry 6 degrees at78% .I had 2 flights this afternoon and wobble is completely gone and heli is flying very well.On afinal note am loving the spirit wifi module makes adjustments so easy highly reccomended. 8-)

Hi,

perfect! Thank you very much for the info.
Yes, I can say that servos can cause a major difference in the flight behavior.
With one servos it can be bad, with others it could be perfect.

You are welcome!
