Not sure of the second part of your question, but the 90 deg Velos option is for the Velos 880 heli that uses four servos for the swashplate.

ah right....only I'm trying to set up a hirobo lama using the 90-degree swash plate. the elevator is at the front of the heli and all the directions work on my transmitter however for some reason most likely something I've done wrong, the elevator does not move at all when I move the heli around.

ps. when I googled velos it came up as French for a push bike.

Well, "vélo" is just French for a normal bicycle, that's it.

Does your lama have four servos?

my lama has 1 servo for ailerons which has 2 rods on the one arm wich connects to both sides of the 90 swash. It then has one servo for elevator and one servo for pitch. none of which are directly connected to the swash as per ccpm but go through a mechanical mix. and the one for the rudder.
My question is does the spirit unit support this mechanical mixing?

Yes, this is the CCPM 90° option. Each servo is controlling a separate function - aileron/elevator/pitch.
