Hello

Does anybody know if Align HV130A is the same as Hobbywing HV130A V4 ?
The information i can find,looks like its just a re branded Hobbywing.
And then will it support telemetry data output ?
My hobby shop has the align in store, and can ship it here in 2 days, and the hobbywing i have to wait 1 week to get.
My Castle Creation just went up in smoke...

Yes it is. It is compatible with Hobbywing programming box and also Hobbywing firmware can be used. I used it with latest Hobbywing FW with Spirit and telemetry works fine.

From the other pilots we know that not all Align are supported. Actually the firmware can be updated only with the older versions where it was not blocked.
It looks like the updating is not working anymore with new ESC which is very sad. The problem is that you need the latest firmware in the ESC to make it work.

So we recommend using HobbyWing V4.

That's strange. I bought mine about month ago. But maybe it's from some old batch...

@TomasN: which Firmware release do you use ? 04.0.04 or 04.0.06 ?

My RCE-Bl130A was bought in July 2016 and is updatable without any issue.

It is my understanding that the specs are also different. The HW 130 V4 is advertised as 14S capable, and the Align version is advertised as 12S capable.

Just got the Align esc now.
I will try to update it to night, to see if I'm lucky.

I'm running PL-04.0.04. It should be latest release.

I bought a 130A from Align-trex.co.uk, and the hw desktop app says “error reading esc settings” but HW progbox works fine. So i cant really upgrade it

In the end it looks like i will need a new 200amp sebsor to measure mah...
