Spirit System

the same Laptop with windows 7, same USB interface, fail to update 2.4.2
I use the same ssytem update 2.3x. , 2.4.0, 2.4.1 , all good
But fail to update from 2.4.1 to 2.4.2
Select firmware file, click update, the progress bar always empty, not green, wait 5 mins and I have to close the app.
the FBL still works so the update never start.

What would be the problem? During the last update till now, that PC only install the PowerLAb 8 software, that's the only change.

installation of powerlab software could be the problem if it overwrite driver needed for the USB interface.
Since the same chip is used widely it is possible that this is the reason for your troubles.

So I recommend to reinstall the Spirit Settings software again, but enable Driver installation in the wizard.
Then it will hopefully reinstall the driver for the correct version. Then reboot the PC and try it again.

Correct driver is very important for the flashing process. Alternatively if you have wifi-link you can flash it through this - this is not dependent on any driver so it will work.
