Hi,
I have a spirit pro lying around with me and I want to install it in my TT Raptor 50 flybar heli. I am new to helicopter flying and I want to know whether the Spirit Pro will keep my helicopter stable during my training flights. I have searched a lot for the answer to my questions but didn't find a suitable answer so guys please excuse me for posting such a simple question.
Thank you
Will Spirit work in a Flybar Raptor50
Hi!
Yes, Spirit units are suitable for flybared helicopters too.
What you have to do is to proceed in the same way as if it is flybarless helicopter, so basically no difference in the setup.
We highly recommend to use the Setup wizard that is present in the Spirit Settings software.
Once the basic setup is done, go to the Stabi tab and check Flybar mechanic.
From this point you can fly with the unit and it will help you keeping the model stable also during usual flying.
To make it even more stable, you can use one of the Stabilisation modes. With Coaxial mode it can fly like a coaxial heli.
But I recommend to start with usual configuration with no special stabilisation mode first. It will noticeable help you in hovering, windy weather too.
