I am thinking of putting a uSpirit on my 450L and 470L. Will the uSpirit support the upcomming GPS unit?
I would like to keep the ability of installing the GPS on those helis if I want to.

I would be concerned about the servos for this size heli pulling more amps than the uspirit can handle.

Hello,

uSpirit is designed for 130 - 250 helicopter class.
For 450 - 470 Spirit (red/black) is ideal.

Regarding GPS we can confirm at the moment that it will be supported by Spirit Pro. Support of other units is not clear yet.

Please also try to implement the GPS for the red and the black unit. Many users would be grateful - including me and my friends where no one is using the Pro.

That or at last sell a kind of "upgrade kit" so we can use the "normal" spirit with GPS.

I would like to have GPS in all my helicopters, but i wont buy all of my spirit units again as pro.

Possible technical difficulty is related to powering the module. But in the worst case similar cable as Spektrum adapter will be needed.

You could always use a regulator (like the SKYRC SK-600047, or the SGP ReactorX2), I use these anyways on my bigger helis.
I see no problems with using uSpirit on bigger helis using a system like those, as this will draw 0 current from the gyro.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

My issue is resolved and thanks for the support.

I have modified my configuration to get the rescue working from P: to F: and all is now workingé

About the reversed Cyclic, the way the swash / rotor connection is engineered on the 230 S, it reverses the swash movement so swash DOWN is heli goes UP, i tried the rescue and it works the right way.
