Cyclic ring

Can someone walk be through how to setup the maximum travel for pitch and cyclic?
I have found one pitch range setting, one cyclic ring. I understand too high values might cause mechanical binding. How do I check this?
I know hot to check the pitch angle of the blade, the cyclic angle is it the same say? just give full stick and measure blade angle?

Hello,
you can find answer also in the manual:
http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.p ... LIMITS_TABYes, just full deflection in all possible directions (also for low and high collective pitch). There should be never any binding.

I increased the cyclic ring the other day from 100 to 110 without really knowing what it was. Today I learnt it all from you and did the proper setup. Now at 155 and 11 for rotation(former 13 rotation and 110 cyclic ring still quite slow) checked the cyclic degrees and looked fine like 11 degrees or so which seem to be within what people use.
Now it rips hihi... really fun. Nailed a couple of piro flips in a row and also the tic toc was easier. Remember I'm a heli newbie so the new performance helped me doing these stunts easier then before.

Very nice! Thank you for the message.
If you will set Cyclic Ring high, you will not see anything different. But if it will be configured too low, it may be not enough for configured Rotation Speed.
So even with high Rotation Speed value, it will be slow, because helicopter can't use higher angles. But with high Cyclic Ring you can set slow Rotation Speed and there will be nothing wrong.
Important is to not exceed angles recommended by manufacturer. Especially if you have low head speed.
