Logo 550SX, Kontronik Jive 100LV, RPM Telemetry

Hello,
I want to the display the head speed of the main rotor (RPM) on my Graupner MZ24.
I will not use the Governor from the Spirit Pro.
My equipment:
- Transmitter Graupner MZ24 with Spirit integration
- RX GR16
- Logo 550SX (main gear 153 teeth, pinion 14 teeth and gear ratio 1:10,93)
- ESC Kontronik Jive 100LV (firmware 12)
- Motor Scorpion HKIII 4025-1100KV (Mikado Edition)
- FBL Spirit Pro (firmware 2.4.3)
In Spirit Pro „Menue General-Trottle-Governor“, i set the gear ratio to 1:10,95 and sensing divider to 5. Then the readout rpm are to low (rpm1=580, rpm2=700, rpm3=850).
When i set the gear ration to 1:8,0 and sensing divider to 2, the readout rpm are nearly correct (rpm1=1800, rpm2=2100, rpm3=2300), max heat speed is set to 2400rpm.
Is there a problem with the Kontronik Jive 100LV? All the other readout data are okay and the Spirit Pro Unit works very fine.
Thank you!
Sven

Hello,
thank you for your message.
Unfortunately I have not seen such problem yet so it is hard to help you.
Normally all should fit.
All Jives should work in the same way, but I am not sure whether new firmware version changd something. If so, then this would clarify the problem.
Just to make sure, you are running the latest Spirit firmware 2.4.3, right?

Hello!
Thanks for the answer.
Yes, the current firmware 2.4.3 is installed on the Spirit Pro Unit.
In the meantime, i have checked the output speed of the Kontronik Jive100LV with a Jlog2. Here are set 10Pole for the Motor and Gear Ratio 1:10.93 and the transmitted speeds to MZ24 are also correct. (rpm1=1700, rpm2=2000, rpm3=2300)
In the Spirit Pro unit it does not work with this data, if here the divider is at 5 and a gear ratio of 1:10.95 then the speeds are too low (rpm1=580, rpm2=700, rpm3=850).
In the Spirit Pro unit, i have to set the divider 5 and gear ratio 1: 3.65 or divider 2 and 8.00 gear ratio to get the almost correct speeds (rpm1=1650, rpm2=1940, rpm3=2150).
Is there a problem with the protocol evaluation of the Kontronik Jive100LV in connection with the Spirit Pro Unit and FW 2.4.3?

Hello,
thank you for the details.
What we can try is to give you our development firmware to try. But there should be nothing different from current 2.4.3.
I know we have changed RPM calculation for Jive ESCs, but in 2.4.3 it should be all correct.
Maybe you can also try to redownload the official firmware and flash it again.

Hello,
Thanks for the feedback.
I will flash the Spirit Pro Unit again with the official 2.4.3 firmware
and will then give feedback after a test.

Great, do not forget to download it again before.

Hello,
i flashed the Spirit Pro unit again with the current firmware 2.4.3 and then tested again. (including factory reset)
Unfortunately, the result has remained the same.
I have sent you via PN some links to videos, where you can see it in the software.
I think with an old Kontronik Jive it does not work properly with the right gear ratio (dividier 5/1: 10.95) and you have to adjust it until it fits.
Otherwise, i would be grateful for more solutions

Hello,
a short feedback.
I've done more testing with the developer firmware and version 2.4.6.4. Unfortunately, the problem has not been eliminated by this.
I use again the Jlog2 as ESC and the Spirit Pro as GAM (without telemetry) with Y cable. So everything works and the required values of telemetry (speed, current, capacity) are correct again.
I think the problem is with the Jive 100LV controller, as other users have problems with this controller.
Thank you for your support. I like the Spirit Pro System and it works very well.
The tread can be closed, thanks.
