Any issues with Spirit Pro on Nitro?

I just ordered my first Spirit Pro for my Nitro heli. I have a few questions.
1. Is Zeal mounting gel needed or recommended?
2. Should the mounting tape be cut into for 4 small squares or cover the entire bottom? I know with the Skookum they had you
use 4 small squares to limit vibration transfer.
2. Does the Specktrum backplate RPM sensor work?
3. Any good setup video's I should check out?
4. Any issues or tips I need to be aware of?
Thanks.

Hello,
thank you for your interest in our products!
1. No, gel is not recommended at all.We recommend to use our supplied double sided tape. The unit should hold firmly.
2. No, the unit comes with already cutted tapes exactly for the Spirit Pro.
3. It should work, but correct adjustment is needed (same for other units). I recommend to use normal TC curves first.
4. We are trying to describe everything in the manual/guides. So it depends on what you are interested specifically.
5. If using Governor, set only flat curves, also for idling. Then change the TC from e.g. 12% - 75% to get smooth spoolup.

Thank you for the reply. Just some clarification on point 5. I would typically use some trim on the throttle to get a good idle are you recommending that no trim be used and have a curve such as 0-10-50-50? I have attached some screen shots from my radio.

Yes, you can use a trim for the throttle (especially for idling). But if you would set TC to somewhere near 50% it will reach at least 50% of the motor RPM which is quite high.
So a flat throttle curve near 10 - 12% + a trim should be better.
