Tomáš
I started putting together my new Mini Comet. I went to bind the Spirit red to my Spektrum Sat. It will not bind in the side connector but it will bind in the top connector with the adapter. The sat blinks rapidly when I plug in the lipo and the Sat is in the side connector then after about 10 seconds there is no light. It will not bind at all during that process. Is there anything you can help me with?
Thanks,
Tom

Hi,

you can verify if a telemetry is not enabled - Advanced/Telemetry.
And also if cable of the satellite is really OK - what will happen if you will swap the cable for any other?
The cables are often making problems.

Telemetry disabled and changing the cable makes no difference.

I am afraid that something is wrong with the satellite. If it is warm then I recommend to not power it for more than few seconds.

Could you swap the satellites and leave disconnected one that is not working now?

I tried multiple Sattalites. They all acted the same way. Once powered the light blinks rapidly for about 10 seconds then goes off. I am using a IX12 so the bind process is very easy. It appears that the blinking light on the Sat goes off just I press the bind button. I can bind the Sats to another Spirit with no problem.

I went and purchased one of Spektrum’s new Remote receiver. I was able to go through the bind process and it was bound but it was not responding after it was restarted. The light on the receiver was not On after the restart. I am wondering if it was because I let it cool down. I’m guessing it’s a bad Spirit.

Are you using the SPM 4649T?
If so you need to update the Boot Loader.
If you don't update the boot loader then the 4649T will not retain the bind on power down.

I am using only the Sat. As indicated earlier it will bind using the upper connector and the special cable.
Thanks

Well, if it is getting warm then something is really not OK.
It depends on if it was bought from somebody or it is very new.
Since all new units are tested prior the shipping there should be nothing wrong.

Do you think you are able to measure voltage across the Spektrum connector? I mean voltage between red and black wire.
It should be more safe and easier to do so at the end of the Spektrum cable. Just with any multimeter.
It should give you exactly 3.3V.

If it is older unit which was bought with firmware 2.4.2 or older then you can try to update bootloader.
This can be done by re-flashing 2.4.3 firmware normally, except you will press CTRL+B before flashing.
This could help with binding.
