Spirit System

Hi, I have been trying to set up my Castle esc for hours now.
I have found that I can get the esc to recognise low throttle, but thats about it.
It will at least spool up, but not sure if its getting high throttle.
But I have noticed that if the telemetry cable is also connected that I cannot get any output whatsoever. I checked the cable ( bought in Spirit shop ) and it seems fine as I am getting about 9.5k ohms for the resistor, no open circuits.
As this Spirit unit is 3 or 4 years old, I was wondering if it was one of the ones that needed a hardware mod to work with castle escs, and how can I tell?

Hi,

you are right. Unfortunately this unit is 4 years old and it is not compatible with Castle telemetry. But if you wish we can modify it just in one day so it will work well with Castle telemetry too.
This modification can't be done at home sadly, so shipping to us is needed.

Well the good news is that I finally managed to calibrate the esc at high and low throttle, what a nuisance! Of course this is without the telemetry cable.

This is the correct address to send the unit for modification yes?

Excuse me for asking this but is there any possibility of upgrading this unit to a pro version, for an extra fee? Probably not I know but I just thought I would ask anyway.

Unfortunately for us 4 years old units are not usefull for any purpose. Only in case of new unit we can replace it in the first 14 days without any problem.
