Hi there,

How fast reacts the geolink to the altitude?

I made the same (rescue mode at a specified height) with unisense and jeti telemetry.

rescue height was set to 10m. If the altitude changes slowly, it worked very well, but if i fly full speed to the ground, the unisense was very slow and the rescue mode activated at about 2m above the ground. So i didn´t try to crash, but i´m pretty sure, that if the heli is fast enough, it crashes.

how does the geolink measures the altitude? GPS?
i think the unisense uses a barometer ?!?

Thanks, Flo

Hi,

GeoLink can be configured so that it should be safe to fly fast. It sense also speed of flight and direction. So it can engage Rescue sooner - you can configure this acceleration manually. Default value should be fine.
For sure it is faster than your solution.

I make today my first 2 Flights with the Geolink and the altitude limmit funktion works absolutly awsome. My test was 6 meter low limmit and 70% rescue pitch, next time i will try 80% pitch and 7 meter limmit so i can see the reaction when the heli moves faster to the ground. It seems to me with the right settings the system is able to save the heli in any possible situation.
Hope it will be possible in the future to change settings by telemetrie integration.
Great work Thomas, thank you.
