Alt Limit invoking full Rescue

In case you do not know something or you are not sure, here is the right place for your question.

As the Title suggests , when I reach the lower set Altitude set in ALT/LIMIT (GeoLink) my Heli reacts with a full Rescue heading for the upper limit unless I switch the function off.
So , is this normal behavior or is something not working correctly ?
I had assumed once the GeoLink sensed it was within the upper and lower limited height the climb would cease !

Is there any way to tame the reaction I'm seeing down using the settings or is this a fault that needs to be addressed ?

Hello,

the Rescue should be invoked for at least 1.5 second. Then it should be turned off immediately.
So it is not normal to fly so high. But if difference between low and high altitude limit is very small (few meters) then it will work in this way.

Thanks once again for your reply and clarification !

It certain circumstances it would be great if possible to have that 1.5 sec adjustable (maybe as low as .5 sec) in a future update unless there is a technical reason to prevent this. With high headspeed at near full Collective the machine can travel quiet high in 1.5 Sec.

You are welcome.

It will be possible to configure this duration in next update. For now we wanted to make the things as simple as possible as there are many new features.

I have the Geo-Link installed on a Oxy 3. I set the lower altitude to 3m. When I tried engaging the alt limit switch it went full collective an I had do shut it off. I'm sure I was above the 3m height when I engaged the switch. I did not wait till to see how high it was going to go. Is this normal? Should I lower the upper limit as well?

If you reach 3m altitude, then it will engage the rescue for 1.5 seconds, which mean that it can go up, depending on how your model is fast.
If your model is super fast, it can reach for example 6m altitude depending on the Collective Pitch settings.

So even if you are above the Lower Alt Limit setting when it is engaged, rescue will still increase collective for 1.5 seconds? And can it be overridden with the collective stick?

Yes, if the model was at/under (3m + triggering acceleration value) when it was engaged. In next update it will be configurable.

Could you explain how the "triggering acceleration" value works in conjunction with the defined "hard deck" altitude?

This parameter is key for engaging the Rescue mode fast enough if your model is approaching towards the ground. The faster is descending velocity, the faster the Rescue is engaged. This mean that the Rescue can be engaged above configured Minimum limit to save the model safely. If model is approaching the Minimum limit slowly then the rescue is engaged at configured level. Low Triggering Acceleration value is causing only minor difference.
