Geolink altitude hold

When I engage altitude hold the heli is forced towards the ground. Compass has been calibrated. Position hold works. Any ideas? I have it mounted on my Goblin 380.

You can verify if Collective Pitch is not changing when Altitude Hold is engaged.
Please note that the model can move up or down few cm after engaging until it finds spot to hold it at steady height.
Collective Pitch changes are affecting it the altitude too. But if engaged by F: GeoLink Altitude Hold with mode (2) it will deactivate Collective Pitch.
Changing Vertical Correction Gain can help a lot.
Does it mean that the model is going down all the time and it wont stop at any altitude?

Changing vertical gain helped. It seems the change in pitch was very slow so to react.

thank you very much for the message!

I have the same problem, heli is forced to the ground when as soon as altitude hold is engaged.
I have also tested it on the ground after that crash, so when altitude hold is engaged, it appears that by moving pitch stick from end point to end point on my radio, my collective range goes not higher than +-3 degrees.
Should I set vertical gain setting to higher or lower value to fix that?

I use a Spirit Pro and the GeoLink on my T-Rex 550X (585 Blades) for 5 months now. I have a transmitter with enough channels and switches which allows me to test every single function which I did and everything works, including auto landing. The Spirit Pro and GeoLink must be set up very careful, this is nothing which works right out of the box. Every time I tested something I did this 3 mistakes high to be able to recover the heli in case something goes wrong. I have no crashes on this heli and I am happy with the Spirit Pro and the GeoLink.
Best, Eugen

exactly Eugen
the more complex a system become, the more accurate have to be the setup

Unfortunately it is very hard to accomplish that each pilot has everything configured, mounted and wired properly.
You can say that all FBL units are crashing your models if you will set compensation in a wrong direction. GeoLink is counting that everything that was already on the model is configured properly, otherwise it can't work well.
