Anybody know of a suitable mount that would fit Align Trex 500 boom 16mm ish I think, or is anybody selling 3d printed designs.

The Tape method works better than one would think. You should give it a try before concluding some hardware is required

I was looking for an alternative myself and installed the unit using Tape thinking it would only be temporary until I had sorted something more robust . It worked out that well I decided to leave it as it was !
Not only does the Tape provide an excellent option , it would have to be the lightest of any which on particularly smaller models , need to be taken into consideration. For your 600 this would not really be an issue I'd imagine unless already Tail heavy.

Ok Cheers maybe I should wait and see haven't got the unit yet on backorder.
