Hi everybody,
I am looking for a Spirit (Black Edition) Setup for my Align 470L to compare my settings. I´m not happy about the tail behaviour, in static piros the tail stops ccw sharp, in cw it is not as sharp but usable. In forward flying in very soft piro(flips) in cw direction the stops are not locked in (like with Brain 2 for example).
Can you please post your settings or share a setup, so I can compare it to mine?
My setup is:
Cyclic: KST 215 (swash is fine, I´m happy here)
Tail: MKS9780
Rudder common gain 1.14x
Tail limit: approx. 98/108
Rudder delay: 10
Piro consistency: 117
I´m looking forward to your feedback
Dave
Spirit(Black) Setup Align 470L needed for Compare and Tuning
Hello,
you have to change the Rudder Delay to 0 - 2 first. See this table: http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.p ... o_list#MKS
Then Pirouette Consistency should be at least 170, but not more than 185.
Value of 117 is actually not possible to set, I guess you meant 171.
Changing these two parameters should help a lot, but first it is recommended to set it so that the tail will hold well. With this servo it should work quite good.
How did you configured mechanical tail center position? When ticking Servos/Subtrim (tuning) all servos - including tail servo should have arms at the center as close as possible. At the same time there should be a slight angle between tail blades - just as described in the manual of T-Rex.

Hello,
I did the changes according to your suggestions and..it works! Thank you for your support and this great flybarless system!
You were right, the value of piro consistency was 171. All servo horns were centered to zero mechanical, especially the tail servo, I try to avoid subtrim there.

It is quite good. I would leave it as is.
