Hi,

I have a doubt concerning Geolink alignment procedure. There is the sentence in the manual:
Place GeoLink at a flat, aligned horizontal surface anywhere on your model in order to get a precise reference. (for example the Spirit unit).
What about models without horizontal surface (leaning forward like Oxy 4)? Can do the procedure on table instead of the model?

Can I do the procedure on a motor (magnets) or it is not possible?

Best regards
Piotr

Hi,

surface where the Spirit unit is mounted must be always horizontal (with respect to the model). It does not matter if model itself is leaned. This is just relative to the ground, but precise in regards to the model, main shaft, blades, boom.
No, a table is actually not good, because it has different inclination than the model.

Thanks.
I wrote about a geolink, not a spirit unit.

The only surface I can make horizontal is top of the motor. Would it be OK?

Best regards
Piotr

Yes, I replied in respect to GeoLink.
GeoLink require very same flat and horizontal surface as Spirit, but just at the boom.

Motor could be good, but there are better places on the model such as Gyro (Spirit) mounting position.

There is no chance to put the geolink unit on the spirit unit. There is no enough space between the frame panels.

I will try with the top surface of the motor.

Thanks for your fast help.

Best regards
Piotr

you could "extend" the inclination of the spirit using a small cilindrical object
so then you can "level" the geolink over that object that of course will have the same level as the spirit control unit
