Hi again,
SPirit manual says:
Rudder Common Gain – 1.00x means no multiplication. This is the recommended value for
550-class helicopters and smaller. For bigger helicopters it is often higher. 1.3x could be fine.
Gyro Gain in your transmitter should be configured to approximately 50% for the first flight.
In my Spektrum DX18QQ transmitter, I have heading-lock assigned to Gear Channel and assigned to switch A.
Position 0 on the switch is set to Heading Lock; position 1 is set to Rate Mode -- and I see this in the diagnostics tab on the spirit software. I have also verified that in heading lock mode that the tail rotor move correctly when I move the tail on the workbench.
Both position 1 and position in the transmitter are set at 0.0%.
Is this where I would set the transmitter gain to 50% (according to the spirit manual) for first flight? Would I set to 50% for both position 1 and position 0?
Thanks
Jim

Hello,
yes, you are right. You can set for example 40% for position 0 and 50% for position 1.
For the maiden flight you can start with 40% and then try higher gain quickly just by switching the switch A.
