Dear,

I've started flying my Jetcat Hotcat now. Some 7 flights right now.
It's a turbine powered helicopter, 3blade PSG rotorhead, 175 cm rotordiameter, 3 blade tail rotor.
Total weight approximately 9 kg (or less), overall length 2m
Rotorspeed approximately 1180 rpm
Rotor is controlled by 4 servo's (KST BLS 815 for the rotor, BLS 805 for the tail)with a 45 degrees ofset. Rotation is counter clockwise.

So, now I'm taming the beast. It has a large surplus of power, but I want to get it more smooth.

I use 20% expo, 80% D/R.

I've recently changed the flight characteristics to 5 (more flybar like), this seems to get it more smooth already. I use a Spirit Pro unit with the latest firmware
setup Hotcat.4ds

.

Do you have suggestions on how to make this bird flying more smoothly? It is now quite touchy, but I would like it to fly like it did when I had flybars on it, very smooth, scale like.
ALso for the tail, which is now very sharp and fast.

WHat do I need to change in this setup?

At this moment, I only have a very faint tail wag, but that might also be a problem of a long tail and strong crosswinds lately. I now have a sensitivity fot the tail of approximately 55.

I'm very interested in your advice!

Hello,

it is very nice that you are flying with such helicopter. You can take some photos.

To make it more smooth you can freely set Flight Style to 8.
If you do not fly any 3D then configuring Advanced/Cyclic Feed Forward to 3-4 will help too.
