Do you actually put the lua telemetry script in the root?

or are the instructions not correct?

I am accustomed to placing them in the scripts folder of the SD card

Hello,

it does not matter in which directory the scripts are.
It should work always.

This is different in recent OpenTX. You should put them in Scripts/Tools. Then you will have them in the tools menu, easy to execute, without browsing the SD card.

Besides that, it's best to rename them. Add something like "Spirit_" in front of each name. This is because in the tools menu it will be on the list along with other scripts.
