Spirit System

I had a bit of bad luck and had a Lipo fire on my new Henseleit TDR2 heli.

It was the 450mAh backup pack that 'went up' and damage was limited to the front of the heli, which unfortunately is where all the electronics are on the TDR2. The Spirit Pro got it pretty bad:

Amazingly once I cleaned it up and removed the melted plugs my Spirit Pro is working fine!, the metal case did an amazing job of protecting the internals. A plastic case FBL would have been a black blob of carbon!

The label was burned off, is it possible to get a replacement label?


This was not a cheap incident, I lost 4 servos, a damaged Kosmik ESC (repairable), jeti receiver and carbon frames of the TDR2

that is very sad.
Fortunately we can repair any damage. If you are able to ship the unit to us, we can repair it whatever happened.
For sure repair cost will be lower than 40% of the unit in any case. Likely just around 5-10%.

It is possible the unit is still working but we do not recommend to power it up.

Yes,

you can use this address.

But it is also very important to declare package value at 25 USD or less. Otherwise customs inspection will add delay and fees.

Sorry for late reply, cause was unknown. The battery was a 'nearly new' 2s 450mAh backup pack from a reputable and well known brand. It was just sitting in the heli, not being charged and physically disconnected.

I've got the Spirit back now, fully repaired with new PCB and 'good as new' all for no charge. Outstanding service!
