hi
just moved back to spirits on my helis.
I am using open tx and spirit2 ,and finding the pitch control quite sensitive ,is there any way to dumb it down a bit ?
is there a way to add expo on the pitch ? in open tx I am a noob to open tx so have no idea ,other than that heli flys well.
question about gyro gain the heli has a bit of a fast tail wag only when flying into the wind gyro gain up or down ??
thanks

Hi,
for sensitive collective pitch please decrease your Collective Pitch range. This is the only correct solution. Expo at pitch is not recommended and has no good meaning.
For tail wag please send your 4ds settings file and all details about your model. Then I can help you more.

hi
files attached the logo 550 has a wag into the wind.
the logo 690 had a big tail shake on the ground
as for expo I used it on vbar control no problem helped a lot with my flying ment I did not have to move the sticks as far, because it was not sensitive enough at mid stick so I used expo to correct it.
thanks

Despite what people say, expo on pitch is very helpful. A lot of flybarless units actually have expo on pitch by default and the users don't even know it (like brain/ikon).
There is no way to add expo in the spirit unit, but what can help is to change your pitch curve one or two points. Instead of a flat 0-25-50-75-100 line, you can do something like 0-26-50-74-100. Or 0-27-50-73-100. Or if you want to you can add points closer to center to flatten just that specific area a tiny, tiny bit. Usually one or two points off the linear line max. The first curve I mentioned makes a fairly noticeable difference even though there is only a 1 point modification.

for now I have dropped the pitch limit to see what happens, but still need advice on the gyro settings.

What model heli is it? Fast wag is too high of a gain.
The two gains that can do that are the main overall tail gain and piro consistency. It's best to first only set the overall tail gain while using the default piro consistency value. Set it as high as possible without getting a tail wag in any maneuver. If it's wagging, lower it. Once you get it to the highest point without wagging, raise piro consistency 5 points at a time, as high as you can without getting wagging in any maneuver.
