In case you do not know something or you are not sure, here is the right place for your question.

What options are missing, if I use a RX + 1 Sat instead 2 Sat's without RX?

What I understand is, that only 6 channels will work with a Receiver+Sat, but if I use 2 Sat's I'll have 8 channels. What can I do more with these 2 channel?

More banks? Or what?

I'm a newbie and my english is not so great :-\

I have a Spektrum DX9 with AR8000.
Is it better to sell the AR8000 and buy a second Satellite so I will have all 8 available channels?

I will also use the Bluetooth Modul, need rescue and Stabilisation too.

Need help in noob friendly language :-D

Hello,

you can use anything with 6 channels (rescue, stabilisation and banks too) but you do not have so many possibilities.

For example if you want to use banks, you can't use Gyro Gain settings in your transmitter. Gyro Gain is configured in the software in this case.
In case you want to use only Rescue or only Stabilisation you can set Gyro Gain in your transmitter directly, but Banks are not available.

So virtually you do not loose any option. But with 7 channels (Satellites) you can set Gyro Gain and Banks separately.

Ah okay....maybe now i´m understanding...i hope :-)

The Gyro Gain Setting is normaly free adjustable....but in case of RX + Sat i have only 6 channels.
The Gyro Channel 6 is now für (Gyro Gain + Rescue) or (Gyro Gain + Stabilisation) or (Gyro Gain + all disabled)?

If i use 2 Sats, i will have the option to split this Funktion in Channel 6 = (Rescue) or (Stabilisation) or (all disabled) and Channel 7 (Gyro Gain)?

I understand: With the Spirit unit it is not realy nessessery to use the Gyro Gain Setting while flying with my DX9 Transmitter?
So many people told me...buy a 7 channel TX, not a 6 Channel, because you will need the Gyro Gain Setting while flying!

Correct. The Spirit is the only FBL that allows use of Rescue and gain settings. All other FBL's require at least 7 channels to have all functions.

If using only 6 channels. You channel 5 becomes your bank switching and you can set up each bank to a mode that you desire.

True..

I wish spirit could use another channel, and assign it to real time tuning of any parameter... That would be HOT, or maybe optionally use the tail gain channel for ireal time tuning, like another FBL controller does.

You can use banks for tuning so that any parameter can be changed. Mostly you need approx. three values to test - so banks are ideal for that. With real tuning you can tune only one parameter at the time.
All in all, Spirit is not supposed to tune it all the time, tuning is done mostly in 2-4 flights even without banks.

If it's true, the Bluetooth Modul is not a must have?
After few flights the setup is ready?
Nothing to change in the future if I'm out to fly without my Laptop by me?
Or what can I do with the Bluetooth Modul after setup finished?

It is true. You can use BT module for example to view flight logs or do vibration analysis. But mostly after setup is finished you do not need to tune it more. But it is fine thing if your PC is too far.

Yea banks can certainly help tuning go more rapidly,

And I do agree that on 4 different helicopters I never had more than three tuning flights.

Very nice, and not true of most other units

Former there is for Only ONE other fbl system so easily tuned

So kudos to spirit, I really am happy with this baby

Sounds great and thanks to all for quick reply.

No I switch to the Shop to place my order.
Hope the Unit and Bluetooth Modul is on Stock.

Can I use regular double sited 3M Tape (1mm thick / used in car repair) for the Unit or is this not good?
Maybe to thin and vibrations not absorbed?
