How to verify that bank switching works?

Hi,

so I have set up my spirit in my Diabolo 550 with Spektrum AR8000 and bluetooth module.

All looking good so far. I verified with the spirit pc utility and Android app that my Gyro channel is working (-100%,0,+100%).
Then configured the Gyro channel as bankswitching channel. That looks good so far in the tools.

Bank3 configured to do acro bailout.

After disconnecting any setup tool and the activation of bank3 through the gyro channel - nothing happens.
So no acro bailout pitch action.

So, how to move on debugging? Any chance to see if the bank switch actually is happening?

Please advise.

Many thanks,
Andreas

You can see if you bank switch is happening in the diagnose page.

If software is connected with the unit, Bank switching is done within the software only.
But when software is not running, Bank switching is controlled by your transmitter.

I believe, that the problem with your setup is, that your Gyro Gain (check Sensor tab in the software) is configured to positive values.
To activate selected special function, you must configure negative value for the gyro gain.

Thanks for getting back on this.

I have set up the gyro gain in my DX8 -100, 0 and +100. Furthermore I adjusted the collective pitch direction of bailout to negative 100 as pitch needs to be inverted in the transmitter to go in the right direction.

In the diagnosis tab I see the bankswitching happening.

Is this what you meant?

Thanks!
