Spirit System

Hi I have bought a second hand helicopter that has a spirit flybarless system but I can’t get anything out of it. I have looked at videos on youtube how to set it up but I can’t get anything out of it, no light nothing. I have tried to update firmware but nothing happens at all. I think it is dead, is it able to be repaired or not? I hope it can as I don’t have another to replace it with.

Hello,

we can repair any damage, so it is not a problem.

Can you let me know if Status LED has at least some activity exactly at the moment, when you power up the model?
If there is at least blink for a few miliseconds, it can be fixed by you.
If not, then maybe the original user burned it.

How are you trying to power it up? Try a battery directly into one of the servo ports? Maybe the power supply is faulty?

Hi i have tried putting the battery into the unit but nothing happens at all. I have taken the unit out of the heli, put a satellite (spectrum dsm2). I have downloaded the latest firmware (3.01) connected to computer with usb lead and i get nothing at all, as if not even plugged in. Is it possible to send it back to Spirit to get it checked and repaired if possible.
