Spirit System

I have a Spirit RS, am installing into a MSH Protos Max.
I have the Telem UNI cable for telemetry to a scorpion esc, but was wondering if it was ok to attach the UNI to the RPM port of the MSH powerbus to run it to front of heli?
( See attached pic, it would have a common ground but not a positive wire?)

I am afraid this is not correct. There is no power in the telemetry cable so it would not help in any way.
