Stabi Correction not working when unit vertically mounted

Ever since the release of 3.1 I have been struggling to enable Stabi Correction on my 450 Pro test helicopter fitted with a Spirit Pro and Geolink. I got the vibration levels down to below 50, and also tested the accelerometer sensor per Tomáš instructions, but if I turned on Stabi Correction it would just pitch violently to the right when trying Rescue or functions such as Position Hold. These functions worked ok without Stabi Correction, but I wanted the extra precision that this parameter offers.
It then occurred to me that:
a) the sensor testing had to be done with the unit perfectly level with the label facing upwards.
b) my unit was mounted vertically on the left side of the heli
c) the heli was pitching to the right
So the question arose in my mind whether the heli pitching to the right with Stabi Correction on was because the unit was trying to right itself? So I reconfigured the heli to have the Spirit Pro mounted horizontally, and guess what? It now Rescues perfectly and the Geolink functions work correctly as well.
