Spirit System

Hi,

I am using the Spirit Unit with the Wifi Link Modul.

I wanted to upgrade from 3.2.0 to 3.2.1. The firmware upload worked fine, but then then software freezed and did not do anything. In the software it was mentioned that it can take up to 20secs to flash. I waited over 5 min and nothing happend. I canceled the software and power cycled the spirit unit. Now I can not connect anymore and get only the red LED flashing. See this video.

No, because I don´t have an USB cable. In the description of the Wifi Link it does not say that you can´t recover with the WiFi Modul. If I had known that I couldn´t get all functionality from the Wifi Link, I wouldn´t buy it.

I have to say, I am really disappointed with Spirit. I mean, there is not that much you can do wrong and I guess, I have to buy now another USB cable, which will be shipped over from Europe and is maybe in 3 weeks here?

I really hope there is another solution....

Hello,

you do not need USB interface for recovery process. I will send you updated software that will allow this.
Then it is enough to proceed according instructions written in the software.

Enter the Recovery mode, select the Wifi connection in the Connection tab, select firmware, power up the unit and then press the Flash button.

All Spirit units are coming with USB interface, so it is rather unusual you do not have any. But everything will work also with Wifi-Link module.
You can choose express shipping which will deliver package within 2 days.

This software is identical to 3.2.1 except recovery mode will work with Wifi-Link normally.

how can you be disappointed about spirit

Agree, I can´t be dissapointed if that works, but I was when I read it and couldn´t get it back working. If that works, awesome! I will test it later. Just came back from the flying field.

Alright it worked. I don´t know how I did it, but after a few tries I was able to get my Spirit unit up and running again! Amazing.

I think I some of my settings are off, since I reloaded settings from September 2020 back in the unit. Will go to the fine tuning hopefully tomrrow and I am good to go.
