I have a question the Spirit 2 governor setup. I hooked up a fresh lipo and did some test head speed runs without blades on a Goblin 380 Buddy helicopter. I set the max head speed in Spirit at 3700 and my throttle curve for Normal, Stunt 1 and Stunt 2 as 70%, 75% and 80%, respectively.
When I ran my head speed test, the Spirt app indicated a Requested RPM of Normal at 2579, Stunt 1 at 2764, and Stunt 2 at 2949. However, the max current speed it would get to was about 2,170 or so and that Current RPM did not change between Normal, Stunt 1 and Stunt 2. The Request RPMs would change when I would switch between them but not the actual RPMs. I’m assuming this is because the current RPMs could not reach the minimum requested speed I had set.
Any ideas on why the current RPMs will not even reach 2200 rpms? I was using a fresh fully charged 6s 2200 lipo. I would appreciate any suggestions.
