FrSky with R9 Slim

Hi all,
Trying to get the R9 Slim+ to talk to uSpirit... The unit is bound but does not appear to be talking to uSpirit via s-bus.... I am using what is listed as s-bus inverted because my undertanding is that FrSky s-bus is inverted by default so inverted inverted should be normal... Do I need the special cable for this?
Thanks.

Try normal (non inverted SBUS)
I think inverted is only needed on Spirit1

Hello,
you should use normal sbus output.
MicroSpirit does not need any special cable. Please see wiring diagram for sbus.

Thanks, I switched from inverted to normal and I now see a couple of channels in Spirit setup... Trying to figure out why I can't see all the channels, somewhat at a loss....
Thanks.

Please make sure you are using default channel layout and that 24 channel mode is not used. Other than configuration of the radio there is nothing more you can do wrong.

I'm new to this kind of radio system...
So far in the config, Spirit can find (TX output) Rudder, Elevator, Ailerons and one switch..
EDIT: Found throttle with hold sw off...but the range seems very small.
I am confused however, I thought that the pitch was the same as the throttle as in 'collective pitch', what is Pitch mapped to?
Thanks.

usually pitch and throttle are mapped to the same stick axis
but each have his own curve that can even be mapped to a switch to have different throttle / pitch curves
( normal, idle1, idle2 and so on )

Okay, I'll try to map the throttle stick to two different channels... I noticed that when the throttle channel is mapped to most any of the logical functions on Spirit it seems to work fine using the bottom to top range but when it's mapped to the throttle function it only uses the top half and it's not smooth... I may have to revisit that...
Thanks.

Tried to create a new output, copied throttle function and for some reason it wouldn't allow me to make it Exponential... Set Exp to 40 but no change in curve displayed...
So with copied function listed I tried it but can't see the new channel in Spirit... Also the throttle when mapped to the throttle function has a much different range, around -15 to +45 where as mapping throttle to other functions (on Spirit) the range is close to -100 to +100...
Incredible amount of time lost on this with the FrSky...major pita...
Will keep trying to find the problem appreciate any further suggestions...
Thanks.

Okay finally got Spirit seeing all the channels: Throttle, rudder, aileron, elevator and pitch via a copy of throttle....
Hopefully this will work but the throttle (not collective) channel unlike the others that range adjusted to -100/+100 in Spirit setup will only adjust to 0/+50 or close to that range... Is this normal and if so why?
Thanks.
