Spirit System

Does anyone know if Spirit currently supports (or if it will soon) the Hobbywing Platinum V5 telemetry? Is it different from V4?

I am sure it will be supported.

It does not work currently. I have been in contact with the Hobbywing engineers in China via a team pilot. There response was "They are aware of this and are developing protocol for the flybarless manufactures to update their products to communicate with the new system".

I am running a GTR with the new 150A V5 and nothing will make the telemetry work but if I plug a 130A V4 into the same GTR without changing anything else I get telemetry.
I sent an email to Tomáš about this a few days ago and am hoping for a response soon.

we also contacted HobbyWing but at the moment we have to wait for their new firmware and documentation. There is no telemetry support itself in these ESCs at the moment.
Then support can be added.

I was debating between a V4 and a V5, so that makes the decision easier. Thanks for the update!

Any news on this... I bought 2 of these... I am flying one without telemetry and hate it... thinking about selling the other if no resolution soon.

There is still no reply from HobbyWing. If anybody have a contact that could change something it would be very helpful.
