I have the spirit GT and a Spektrum SRXl2 reciever 4651T, I would like to add a SRXL2 Satellite for safety but I am using the ports on the unit for my escape telemetry and geolink.
Does anybody know if the spektrum multi adaptor supports SRXL2 , if so I could add it to the reciver input ie rudder /elevator

Hello Neils,

this question can only be answered from Tomas (Spirit Systems) - I think no one else can that !

Hello,

Spektrum Multi Adapter is only for older Spektrum satellites.

You will need full size receiver and connect SRXL2 satellite there in this case.

Spektrum do not make a full size SRXL2 reciever, what they do have is a AR10100T it has 10 channels which i will need for using geolink functions, this is a DSMX telemetry reciever with ports to plug in SRXL2 satellites.
will this work for my 700 size heli instead of the spektrum 4951t
will my telemetry work and what about the wiring

There are few full size SRXL2 receivers. For example AR6610T. No need to buy a bigger receiver, since the ports are in the most cases unused.
You will get same channel data through a single cable with all SRXL2 receivers.
It will work identically to other SRXL2 receivers or sats. But with better range.

The best combination of Spektrum receiver and sat to use is the 6610t and a 4651t. You do not need 10 phyisical ports, the SRXL2 receivers will handle 32 channels
down the 1 wire....( Tomas beat me to it)...

Ok so now I have the spektrum AR6610 T with a 4651t sat
I have them both bound to my DX9 .
problem now is that if i take out the signal on the 6610 then the sat does not take over, nor is my TX showing any telemetry from the sat
Am i right to think i need to flash new firmware 3.3.4
I cannot see it in my update page , it goes only to 3.3.3

thanks

Hello Neils,
is the 4651T pluged in the port of the AR6610 T or have you pluged in the sat2 port of the of the Spirit ? In this case you should only plug in the port of the AR6610 T - the cable from the AR6610 T to the Spirit should pluged in Port 1 to the Ail-port and Rud Port in the Spirit - Then all should work ! You have no redundancy because o powersourcing of the satellite when the AR6610T gets no power -

Hello
Thanks for your reply
Yes I have the 6610 plugged into the flybarless and the 4651 sat plugged into the 6610, both bound to DX9
I take out only the signal orange cable leaving power on for the 6610 , the sat 4651 is not taking over, also MY TX does not see the satellite 4651.

If I use an independant power source to the 6610 with sat plugged into it , My TX is able to see Both the 6610 and the 4651

thanks

Hello,
can you show which cable you unplug? With this connection there are only two possibilities, either you pull out the satellite, then you can see it on your radio, you plug it back in and the satellite is back, or you pull out the connection to the Spirit, then you have a hold, so no reception - In my opinion, an additional voltage source on the AR6610 is not needed - this system is not redundant and it doesn't want to be, but only an additional possibility to avoid shadowing, of course with appropriate positioning on the heli, otherwise that helps too not - if you want a redundant system, you would have to use two independent receiver systems, each with its own power supply, but I can't say whether the spektrum also has it, you would have to research that - however, you tend to use it with more complex systems in scale applications and are usually not used in normal helicopters -
