Spirit System

Hello, I bought a spirit GTR on the spirit store. I can't connect an external receiver to the GTR (RXSR). Can the GTR be connected with other Futaba, Spektrum, FRSky, ... receivers?

thr GTR is a special version of the Spirit GT, it has an inbuilt Jeti-Receiver -
Therefore you don't need any additional receiver so long you choose an Jeti-Transmitter -

And no you can't use it with another receiver as Spektrum, Futaba or FRSky -
For other receivers you should have bought a Spirit GT-

Why is it not possible to use a different RX with the GTR model? It does not make sense to me as it should merely use the SAT1 and SAT2 signals if they are present on startup.

This in my mind is merely a software(firmware) problem rather than a hardware problem as the GTR unit actually has the SAT ports available as well as other serial input RX's.

If it does not currently work this way(I thought it did) then I really think it would be a great enhancement.

I did not find this thread, before i posted the same question, half an hour ago..

The reason why i am asking is i want to use my Horus as Master for my clubmate who is flying another flight mode en uses a Jeti TX, whitch we then could use as trainer.

If it was possible i could setup a model in my Horus, connect a XM+ RX and i could help him flying, after some flight hours remove the frsky RX and go on wioth the integrated jeti rx.. it would be a plus...

Or, when switching from jeti to another system there should be no need to buy another FBL system, just connect your new RX and fly..

So.. when do you releae the firmware update? (-;

you can connect special module to your radio which will allow full operation with Spirit GTR or RS.
It is called JETI TU2. This will work with basically any other radio.
