I have a spirit and in the past if I wanted to make a change to the spirit at the field, I would land, change the setting through my Jeti, save before exiting the Jeti spirit menu and take off and test the new setting.
I’m wondering if there are conditions when that doesn’t work. I have been tuning the governor and made several changes to the response, not seeming to have any affect. I landed to refuel and check the battery and upon my next flight the engine zoned to full rpm when I flipped into idle up. It is explainable if the gov response is too high. I also noted that the log noted the gov engaged and good health.
Is there a reason I now have to power down and then backup to realize changes to spirit settings?
Thank you
Spirit not recognize setting change until re-powered
Hello,
these parameters are applied immediately as soon as you will change them.
So at the moment you will change governor parameter it is applied instantly.
There is no case when it is not applied. Instead I think some other issue happened. For example if throttle is not set to Hold state then governor will start motor very quickly because it is in the autorotation mode.
Or there is possible issue if you set values for one bank, but during refuelling bank is changed to other. But I dont know if you are using Bank Switching.
