Is there a way to view the various model preset settings without having to load them in demo mode, or is there a ds4 file associated with these presets that is viewable.

And where would I find the ds4 files for the presets that come with the spirit software?

These files are not available, because there are only few values that are changing. When you have some model configured, you can run through wizard so only these values are changed, while rest is untouched.

In the other hand, when you loading profile, everything is changed. But that is not really needed, especially when you have some working configuration.
Software presets are changing values of the following parameters - piro consistency, rudder delay, rudder dynamic, multiplier of rudder gain, cyclic gain, geometry 6°. Nothing more is changed.
