Accidently power to sys port GT unit

Hi everyone,
I accidently put the second BEC power supply wire via a Y-wire to the sys port at the GT unit, what is not allowed regarding the manual. The unit does not connect anymore to the pc but working fine beside that. So the usb wire that connects the PC to the unit could also be damaged due to the Y-wire it also get voltage from the BEC. Has anyone experience with that, is usually only the usb cable damaged or only the GT unit or both?
How to handle repair/replacement? Unit was bought in Switzerland

Thanks in advance

Hi,
in the Spirit GT is said: "All-pin protection" , so I think the GT is fine -
Maybe the usb-dongle has got something -
Have you bought in an shop or private ?
If you bought in an shop, maybe the the shop owner can send you a new usb-dongle to test ?

Maybe Tomas from Spirit can help here out what can be done -

Regards

Hi Mattes61,
Thanks for your answer!
I bought the GT unit directly from a shop.
I’m happy that the GT has all PIN protection.
I wait a little bit, hoping a developer will answer, otherwise I buy a new usb cable and try.
Thanks

Hello,

Spirit GT should survive but USB interface will not survive. It depends on battery voltage too.
For over 2 months we are already selling new USB interfaces that have protection too, so they can't be damaged easily.
Unfortunately Modelsport eshop has still older batch.

Thank you very much for the precise answer!
The voltage was direct 2S Lipo.
