Hi All

I have a Spirit 2. I have set up the channel travel from the TX to ensure 100% each way on the diagnostics tab. I'm having an issue with the rudder that the servo won't travel more than about 15deg left or right. Actual tail blade angle changes about 2-3deg.

I have adjusted the max travel each way to 200 on the limits tab. No change.

The servo is a Futaba S9254 and set it to 1520us and 333Hz. This was checked on Spirit servo list.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi

what are your settings on collective pitch and cyclic ring limits (and geometry 6° as well)? are those set @ 200? did you maybe setup some servo travel correction?
cheers

Hello,

configuring 200 for endpoints indicate the mechanics need to be changed.
Please use longer servo arm, maybe 1-2 holes to be around 120 with endpoints.
Some servos can't rotate that much.

I have the ball on the outermost hole of the tail servo.
I adjusted the endpoints to 200 to see if that was the issue, but it isn't.

Hi Michael

The tail is the current issue. Cyclic is ok.

Thanks

Sorry, it seems i did not read your post carefully enough

did you try to connect a different tail servo just for a test?
cheers

Hi All

I tried a new servo and still the same.

I then decided to remove the gyro gain setting for the TX and now I have full travel. Not sure why this is the case, but it now works.

I'm setting up the heli for someone else on an OpenTX Taranis transmitter.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Maybe you have changed settings in advanced/revomix or advanced/piro consistency?

Another thing to do would be to first back up your settings, just incase, and then do a factory reset followed with a fresh setup?
