Speed flight

I need a little help. In fast forward flight the heli behaves a little bit like a dolphin on little inputs on elevator. I tried to set 'elevator filter' and 'elevator pitchup compensation'. Both parameters I set to 2, but it is not realy getting better. My Heli is a T-Rex 600 Pro.
Could you give me a hint which parameter to tune?

Hello,

most probably you are using flybar blades, that are not suitable for FBL usage or your Cyclic Ring (Aileron / Elevator parameter) is too low.
It should be configured to the highest possible value, that your mechanics will allow.

Elevator filter is not intended for this purpose, it should eliminate bounce back during agressive stick input.
In your case Pitch Up compensation may be default 0 if higher Cyclic Ring will help.

I'm using the Radix YB-600 FBL - so I wil check the values in cyclic ring and will report after the next test flight.

Hello,

after some test flights and increasing the value for the cyclic ring I have to say that the behaviour in fast forward flight didn't get better. Due to that reason I would be happy if you could have a look onto my settings, I have uploaded them under the name 'T-Rex 600 EFL Pro 150410-b0.4ds'.

Do you have other hints what could be changed?

Thanks for your settings.

I recommend to decrease Cyclic Feed Forward parameter just for the test. If this value is too high, it may cause abnormal reaction during fast forward flight. You can try value of 4 - 5 and see if it is better.

What is your Max. Cyclic Pitch angle?

Also Cyclic Pitch Up Compensation can be configured to 0.

The max angle of cyclic pitch on input of aileron or elevator is nearly 16 degree.
I will try to decrease Cyclic Feed Forward this weekend.

Hi, this weekend I tried to reduce the CyclicFeedForward to 4-5. But this was not realy successful. For the next test flight I will reduce ElevatorFilter and ElevatorPitchUpComsensation to 0.

Well, normally this should not happen.

So we can take a look at the basic settings.

If you enable Subtrim (tuning) function in the Servo tab, are all servo horns at 90°, cyclic is perfectly level and angle of the main blades is 0° at the same time?

Hello,

since I now have checked everything I can't solve my problem. The helicopter always bounces back a few degrees if there was an input on the elevator. For example if I make a stall turn and the heli goes up vertically the heli will end up with around 5 degrees inclination - I use the elevator to pull up the heli an it bounces back.

Actually I tried also the elevator filter from 0 - 2, today I will also try higher values.

Is this the right way or what can be the reason for this behaviour?
