More Geolink Woes

At a good, level, hover, when I switch to "Position Hold", the heli moves sharply backwards. Takes nearly full forward on stick to keep it in place. Obviously, I am missing something fundamental. Compass calibration went well. Don't know what to try next. Any Help?
