I'v got 5 Helicopter now set up using the GT flb and Geolink
Everything works great with the exception of Calibrating the GeoLink.
I've tried to Calibrate this last model now three times with no avail
No matter how much I move the model around it constantly reads around 250 degrees when the moel is pointed towards the North.

When you bring up the Map, it shows dead on as to where the Heli is

You've done an amazing job with all of the features that you've incorporated into the FBL

However, the Calibration of the GeoLink really sucks. There's got to be a better way.

And so far I can't get this last model to calibrate

OK, I went back outside and tried calibrating this again 3 different times and it will not finish the calibration
Completely away from the house and cars, and had the heli pointing towards the North
The last time I moved this heli around a sphere for about five minuses.

The GeoLink is Brand new purchased from Spirit
It's mounted on the Tail and the connector is facing towards the front of the heli
I clicked the Calibration Button, then disconnected the SYS cable to the computer and powered off the heli
when I repowered the heli back up with the transmitter on
I got a Blue Light which rapidly blinked about 3 times.
Then the Green light on the GeoLink came on Solid
At no time did I ever see that green light Blink

So what's going on.

I just tried something different.
I dismounted the Geolink from the tail ( leaving the wire connected to the GT )and took the heli outside with one hand and moved the geolink around a sphere with the other hand

This time the Green light changed from a Solid green light to a flashing blue light
I powered down the Heli then restarted it and plugged in the computer

Now after about a minute the Geolink came up with a solid Blue light

In the Geolink it shows as Connected Fixed
But if you look at the heading it still show around 270 degrees

I repeated the above process several more times, but the heading never changed from the 270 or so degrees

If i move the heli around a bit the heading does move, and inside it's seeing 5 satellites

Hi raceboy1,

is it possible that you have not configured the installation direction correctly? 270 degrees corresponds to -90 degrees, +90 degrees should be displayed, that's 180 degrees difference...

I wish it were that easy.

No It's identified correctly It's mounting on the tail with the connector towards the nose and that's the same way it shows in the Geolink software too.

Please explain what you mean by reading the compass backwards. I am also having issues with this calibration and maybe you can clear it up. Thank you.
