The Trouble With Spirit

I took the Scale Long Ranger Align 700 to the field this morning, charged all the batteries, flight and main, and went to fly - no response after 'initialising' the fbl system. Went back to try to work out why I got no response. I checked all wiring integrity and tried to fly again, still no response - very strange!!
This heli had flown once before after set-up on maiden flight without too many issues!!
Then I made the startling discovery - I had a W1 fbl unit and I WAS TRYING TO FLY IT WITH MY JETI RADIO !!!!!!!!
I have been transitioning several helicopters from Jeti GTR to Spirit W1 and had forgotten that I had set this up with the Spirit.
I had been on night shifts all week and got out this morning to fly for first time and didn't think too well to bring the correct radio.
MAYBE THE W1 SHOULD BE PAINTED A DIFFERENT COLOUR TO THE GTR UNIT ?? :| :(

You can distinguish units by looking at the antennas from distance. RS/GTR units have yellow antenna tips.

Unfortunately, the yellow shrink wrap on the antenna tips makes it difficult to feed through some antenna supports (e.g. Mikado).
I have had to remove some end coverings on my Jeti receivers.
By the way I have just completed purchase of a second Spirit Pro.
I hope this time that there is a charge cable, as one was missing in my last pre-order Spirit Pro!
Looking forward to being able to teach with the buddy-box facility in due course!

Where did you buy the unit without the "charging cable"? Do you mean the USB cable for setup?
And where did you buy the Spirit PRO unit now that it hasn't been available on the website for several months?
:?

He meant Spirit Wave Pro. We will ship two charging cables with your new order. Many thanks for your order!
