I have another idea for a feature:

Display of the sensor movement: When gluing on the Spirit unit, it sometimes happens that
the unit is not completely straight, so you could at least recognise this - it is often
often only minimal deviations, which could have an unfavourable effect when flying.

In a second step, you could make the alignment adjustable (not just 0 degrees and 180 degrees for the mounting position and alignment of the unit), e.g. if you have recognised a deviation of 0.1 degrees, you could use a parameter to virtually align the unit exactly to 0 degrees again.

It's an interesting idea but hardware wise it uses a three axis gyro, so the current supported mounting positions are probably just assigning each gyro axis to the appropriate yaw/pitch/roll axis of the helicopter and rotating them as needed. I doubt the math to transform arbitrary offset mounting positions into the correct rotation is implemented (this needs more complicated math using all three axes), so it needs to be aligned.
Also it would probably not be feasible to accurately measure 0.1° offset anyway, you'd need to roll or pitch the model without any movement on the other axis to see the sensor response. While skids might be a tiny bit uneven length or aren't even aligned to the main shaft in the roll axis on many models, so how would you even do this.

I usually just hold something of the appropriate size between the side frame and the unit to get it exactly straight on the mounting plate, like a Lego brick.
