[SOLVED] v3.7.4 Hanging on Startup
I'm running Windows 10 and when starting v3.7.4 it hangs with the "S" logo and it never finishes loading. This is without the USB interface installed. All previous version allowed one to start the software in demo mode. I tried deleting all previous versions and re-installing v3.7.4 and still get the same result. Anyone else having this issue?
Hello,
I am afraid it has no relation to Spirit Settings software version (older will do the same) but to a Windows update.
To resolve this problem you can proceed according our manual:
https://manual.spirit-system.com/index. ... es_message
Usually enough to turn off Bluetooth, but to resolve it permanently it is required to disable COM device that is causing the problem. In the most cases it is the Bluetooth that is not used by any software, but is created automatically by Windows.

Thanks for you help, I figured out the problem. I'm using a desktop computer and I checked and Bluetooth was already turned off. I've been trying w/o the Spirit USB interface installed so I figured I'd try again using the USB interface installed prior to starting the software. When I went to install the Spirit USB interface from the rear of the case I saw the USB Squid Stick (https://elrsquidstick.com/) I had installed some time ago. It never caused any issues with any of my other devices, but figured I'd remove it for testing purposes since no other hardware has changed on my machine since the last time Spirit Settings worked successfully. Yes, the software has certainly changed since then. Well, low and behold, removing the Squid Stick fixed the issues and Spirit Settings is working successfully again with and without the Spirit USB interface installed. Now I can upgrade my firmware on my Spirit GTRs to the latest version.
